The standards set forth by the American Copper Development Association (CDA) and the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) provide key specification criteria for the chemistries used in our copper and bronze products.
Sherburne copper and copper alloy products are certified to meet or exceed the quality requirements of over a dozen standard CDA and ASTM chemistries. And many more are manufactured to customer-defined specifications.
Sherburne is active primarily in the production of oxygen free coppers, oxygen free silvers, and a selection of bronzes, such as silicon, phosphorous and tin mixtures.
We produce rod, wire, and strip forms in addition to balls, nuggets, and bar-shaped anodes, provided in a variety of sizes, tempers, surface qualities, and packaging options, including big-coil packaging holding up to 6,000 pounds.
All of our products are continuously cast in modern facilities that include one of the largest upcast systems anywhere for the high-speed production of 5/16-inch oxygen free rod. All subsequent processing can be performed in-house in complete facilities for annealing, wire drawing, and shaving. Continuous quality assurance testing and ASTM certification are performed in our own laboratories.
